Personal preparation for and guidance during parenthood
DEAR PARENTS (TO BE),
Whether you are about to become a parent for the first time or you already are, you have embarked on the most impactful and transformative journey of your life.
In 1:1 sessions, I help you prepare mentally and emotionally for parenthood, reflect on your experience, and guide you along the way.
POSSIBLE
SEE clearly - Behavioural Coping Mechanisms
We will touch upon the various behavioural styles that are most common in parenting. These styles show reactive patterns that operate most often unconsciously in reaction to the behaviour of our children when are nervous system is activated. They come from a triggered place within us that wants to avoid feeling uncomfortable feelings.
EXPRESS authentically - Emotional Regulation
We will explore what it feels like to inquire into and share with our partners and with other parents in the group about the triggers and activations we experience in parenting and in the family dynamics. Any (uncomfortable) emotions and feelings that come up are invited to be expressed. Some embodiment practices will be shared to help regulate ourselves in daily life when we get emotionally activated.
A safe and intimate field for you and your partner at your own home to explore what might be in the way of you being the parent(s) you envision to be
